Meeting Commenced at 6:57 PM
Attendees: Board: Conley, Jim, Sally, Tom; Trustees: Dave; Community: 7 community members attended.
- Welcome
- Secretary’s Report – January minutes are posted on the CFP website. Minutes were approved by voice vote.
- Treasurer’s Report – $8.27 profit YTD. Report was approved by voice vote
- Trustee’s Report – Leon has filed all paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office. We are now the Common Fence Point Association, instead of the Common Fence Point Improvement Association. SoS office stated that they cannot accept by-laws, even though we filed them. Sho has moved to Tiverton, so we will need to backfill a trustee position with a community member.
- Preparedness Committee Report – at the February meeting they had a presentation by a Solar company. It would cost approximately $80K to put solar panels and battery storage at the hall to make it resilient. Will investigate grant opportunities. If anyone is interested there is a People’s Garden Grant available, the application is due 4/1. Contact Nicole Gotovich if interested.
- Kids Committee Report – events are on-going, there will be a Family Fun Event on 2/25 from 2-4.
- Event Committee –
- Winter Wonderland Ball on 2/10 was a big success – thanks to all who helped set up. There was an issue of some people signing up and not attending, which prevented tickets from being sold. Board will hold a recap meeting and discuss possible changes for next year.
- Sacred Center Gentle Yoga and Sacred Sounds on Sunday 2/25 at 6PM
- “Sing it CFP” karaoke night, Saturday 3/16 at 7PM, tickets are $10
- Old Business:
- Pond – Barbara has been pursuing a grant working with DEM and the RI Infrastructure Bank, she has been counselled not to pursue since the project is too small to be a contender for a grant.
- Donor Wall – finalizing list of donors, then Barbara and Conley will start looking at designs.
- Next meeting will be held on Wednesday 3/20 at 7 PM.
Meeting adjourned at 7:22 PM
